17 Nerd Rage

This episode hits close to home for our weird hosts, as Jackie leads us through the sorted, dangerous, and mysterious story of one of San Diego's native spree killers. Andrew Phillip Cunanan's story is most famously connected to fashion icon Gianni Versace, but he left a violent and devastating path in his wake before the entire world knew him as Versace's assassin. Nicole's local knowledge helps paints a portrait of what San Diego's gay communities were like in the 1990s when Cunanan committed his crimes. Jackie recaps the traumas of Cunanan's life to try to help us all understand how this man made it onto the FBI's Most Wanted list. Oh yeah, we had to edit alot out as we got into a drunken nerd rage rant about Marvel's Infinity War. But never fear, Nicole's hubby came out from his cave with cookies and saved the day for us!

16 Cool beans, you're evil.

What's creepier than ghosts, clowns, and aliens? Haunted dolls! Nicole brings us a story from the classy AF state of Florida. Robert the doll is 111-years-old and lives at the Fort East Martello Museum in Key West, Florida. Before that he was the property of Robert Eugene Otto, an eccentric artist. Legend has it that Robert the doll is haunted and can affect people that cross the doll's path.

Join us as we explore the legend of Robert the Doll. Was this doll created to be a voodoo priestess to curse the Otto family? What kind of hold did this doll have on Eugene throughout his life? Does the urban legend of Robert the Doll completely overshadow a talented artist, Eugene Otto?

15 Live From Koi Zen

Since Producer Unikitty always has some tricks up her sleeve, the ladies mix it up and record live from Koi Zen Cellars in San Diego! In this conversational episode, you, lucky listener, will get to hear Nicole and Jackie discuss everything from whether killing in self defense is murder to how they feel about demon possession. Oh, and there's a special tidbit that involves diarrhea and the paranormal.

14 The Twinkie Defense

LISTENER WARNING: This episode contains 20% percent more drunkenness, incoherent speech patterns and mentions of a dude name Sturgil than our usual episodes, thanks to our hot mess of a host, Nicole.

Sleep is a weird human state, where weird stuff happens. Sometimes we toss and turn; sometimes we kick. Sometimes we say stuff; sometimes we hear stuff. Sometimes we have paralysis; sometimes we sleepwalk. Some things we remember; some things we don't remember. Some people are light sleepers; some people are deep sleepers. Then there are those SOME PEOPLE that use sleep as their defense after they murder people. So, that's a thing and we explore it in this episode. Sleep well, listeners, sleep well.

12 Call ME, Predator

Congratulations, you've hit the weird shit jockpot! Creepy cryptids? Check! Poltergeist activity? Check! UFO's? MFing check MFers!  Skinwalker Ranch, southeast of BallardUT, is allegedly the site of poltergeist and UFO-related activities, so its naturally the topic of our twelfth episode. Nicole will be your tour guide for this episode, and she weaves a fascinating story about the legend of the skinwalker, and challenges us to disagree with the opinion that white people have basically just been the dumpster fires of humanity all throughout history.

Pour a drink (trust us,  you need one for this episode), find a safe place and listen to a tale about bullet-proof dire wolfs (that's the name of our new indie band...coming soon) and the strange occurrences that Tom Gorman and his family faced while they lived at Skinwalker Ranch. Nicole goes deep down the hell well, detailing the complicated logistics of a pole digger, a hippie losing his shit, and Jackie crushing on Predator (we think t's the dreads, but judge for yourself).

Special thanks to the book that we used as research for this episode: Hunt for the Skinwalker by Colm A. Kelleher Ph.D.,‎  and George Knapp. Check it out!

11 Poop Sewer

Special thanks this episode to Topa Mountain Winery for providing us some amazing wine on this episode! Please check out them out for some of the best damn wine these weirdos have had in a long time.

The weirdos are back to their favorite things! Nope, it's not ghost or booze this time. Jackie tells us a good ol' serial killer tale from mother Russia! While Nicole decides if Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles really do exist in the sewer, Jackie tells us about the Alexander Yuryevich "Sasha" Pichushkin aka "The chessboard killer". There are seriously no rainbows and ponies here as we hear about the graphic crimes Alexander committed on 53 people. Don't worry folks, we also talk about a badass lady's story that survived this douchebag chess nerd rampage. Do you start laughing awkwardly when it gets uncomfortable ? Because we do!

10 Big Trash Can of Jungle Juice

We're baaaaaack! Welcome to season two, featuring an extended format that really showcases our versatility. Just kidding; it's booze. We talk about booze more. So, murder, the paranormal, and booze. Yes, our parents are proud of us, thanks so much for asking.

Pull up a barstool (made from reclaimed wood if you're hipster)and sip your favorite drink while we all get to know one of the country's few female distillers. Laura Johnson founded You & Yours Distillery in San Diego, CA, and was featured on Forbes' 30 under 30 - Food & Drink list in 2018. We don't talk about that though, Instead, we learn how taking faux sick days as a child helped her find a passion. Let us know if you once shared her childhood dream of growing up to be...well, spoilers, so you'll just have to listen, baby, one more time.

This amazing audible journey will leave you with the infallible knowledge that Laura is a badass, and though you won't get any secret recipes you will learn how her road led to her creating  a unique brand of gin & vodka (yes, we tried it, OBVIOUSLY). Annnnnnnd it wouldn't be a bonafide W&W episode without hearing a ghost story and a few awkward childhood stories.

You & Yours Distillery is located 1495 G Street in San Diego.  You can buy their artfully crafted, and yummy, drinks here: www.youandyours.com

09 Halloween Special

We've got an extra special episode, just in time for our favorite holiday - Halloween! This two-for one episode features a few guests and our first-ever live recordings. On this episode we'll be doing a special onsite paranormal investigation/interview with Deviatus Podcast & interviews from Jackie's amazing Harry Potter Halloween party!

In the first half, Nicole meets up with fellow paranormal investigator Jeremy, host of Deviatus podcast (check it out - but after you listen to this episode, of course), These two see what kind of boil, boil, toil and trouble they can get into during an investigation from a San Diego cemetery. Listen to a recap of their experiences from that investigation and bear witness as Jeremy curses for the first time! You'll also get to hear an EVP captured during the investigation! Check out Jeremy's show at https://deviatus.com/

For the second half of this episode, we take our listeners to Hogwarts! We interview guests at Jackie's Harry Potter-themed Halloween party (which was pure magic!) and learn about their paranormal experiences. Here for the murders and feeling left out? Don't worry, listen closely; there is something for you, too.

08 Parakeeeeys?!

Elfin Forest/Harmony Grove/Questhaven in California

Oh boy. Well, we hope you enjoy listening to our drunken ramblings, cause....we sure bring it. Not sold? how about if we told you this episode is a milestone for us; our first MALE guest! Yup, we believe in going beyond the vagina magic.

But first...

To celebrate Nicole finishing the Harry Potter books we play a Harry Potter edition of 'F***, Marry, Kill' and we're only, like, 20 years late to the game. Also, Nicole talks about the exotic wild birds running amuck (amuck! amuck!) in San Diego and we find out why this episode had to be titled "parakeeeeeys." After more ruckus from Nicole, we finally get to hear her hometown ghost story of Elfin Forest, located in Escondido, CA.

Join us with a drink as we babble about the area that has many urban legends and ghost stories, and attempt to tell the truth behind the legends.

07 First comes murder, then comes hauntings

Your favorite Weirdos are drunk again and ready to present: the Villisca Axe Murder House! But first: if you have your period on every full moon are you a werewolf? What if you just have a nipple hair or two?

Jackie, our mwwwurduur extraordinaire transports us to 1912 Iowa (really, Iowa?!!? Thanks.)and reminds us that sometimes being nosey is a good thing. So, this one time, a Nosey Nelly knocked on her neighbor's door and got WAY more then she bargained for. Bitch wanted to know about some chickens and instead got reallllllly familiar with what corpses look like. How many corpses? Who killed them? How were they killed? Well, damn, listen to the episode, ya nosey weirdo. We probably answer some of those questions.

Murder, schmuder...oh, you're here for the supernatural stuff? Well, welcome to your tape. This two-fer episode is loaded with the mysterious and mysterious-er. Jackie tags in Nicole to talk about the reported hauntings that linger at that same house, the hidden economy behind trendy haunted destinations for paranormal teams (eat your heart out, Freakonomics), why she hates orbs, and in a creepy twist, shares some cool* EVPs!  Special thanks to Prism Paranormal, who posted the EVPs that we found through our research**.

*Note from Producer Unikitty: the phrase "cool EVPs" was not approved for use but no one listen to her because she scares easily.

06 Glitter Nipples

Part Duece of our Grand Canyon Series!

Nicole and Jackie's bickering about Gillian Anderson finally gets producer Unikitty to step in front of the microphone for an epic referee moment. That is probably enough to get you to listen, but you'll also be treated to a lengthy discussion about animal wangs, nipple hues, and absolutely NO murder. OK, fine, we know you're here for the murder, and we d-e-l-i-v-e-r.

According to wherever we get our research, there have been 770 deaths in the Grand Canyon since 1869. Please don't @ us with corrections, we're here to be social and drunk, not to be factual. Obviously there are some factors here like poor record-keeping, suicides, accidents, and unreported murders (unlike Pokémon, you can't catch 'em all). So let's just inflate that number to 1 million and call it a day.

For those sick bastards curious about the grim details of every (reported)Grand Canyon murder (just kidding, you're totally normal), check out the interactive Over the Edge map, where you can click on any pinpoint to read all the details on record.

Jackie takes the lead in this episode, focusing on serial killer Robert Spangler. Sarcastic spoiler alert: the Grand Canyon was the setting for one of his kills.

Sources and shit we want to recognize: We used Over the Edge: Death in Grand Canyon by Michael P. Ghiglieri and Thomas M. Myers to research both of our Grand Canyon episodes.

Grand Canyon Part One

Highlights of this episode include: two interesting, intelligent, drunk girls talking about paranormal stuff. Oh, and these topics: Crash Canyon, El Tovar hotel, Hopi House, and a creepy photo taken at the Grand Canyon (courtesey of Week in Weird).

Intrigued? So were we.

Sit back, pick your poison and brace yourself for our first ever two-parter! The Grand Canyon is just too big for one episode;  it's rich with legends and ghost stories, In part one, Nicole dishes on her recent trip to the area and a place that's not known to many visitors; the Pioneer Cemetery.

04 START fluffy; go dark.

Jackie hosts true crime story time! Join your weirdest gal pals for an insightful (drunk)discussion (drunk chat) about becoming crazy cat ladies, the art of ugly sweaters and the universal fear of dying alone. You'll also be treated to a "deep" and "meaningful" conversation (drunk rant) about the current state of Katy Perry. If you make it through all that weird stuff, you get to hear Jackie sing her hometown crime story! OK, fine, she doesn't sing but the rest of that is true. Not even singing could drown out the horror of this murder. Stay away if you need trigger warnings - just assume this podcast has all the trigger warnings. And with that, Weirdos & Wine brings you the story of the Bath School disaster

Third time's a charm! Tune in as we welcome Producer Unikitty back from her Ireland vacation and make some assumptions about what the country smells like, Also,  Nicole treats Jackie to a journey of self-exploration and spiritual awakening...OR she tells Jackie about the Haunted Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas. One of those two things. Guess you'll have to listen to find out which is true.
